ESTC citation number T139041. Illustrated with a frontispiece, and six plates. One page of adverts to the rear. Collated, complete. 'Memoirs of the Life and Adventures of Signor Rozelli' is a picaresque novel, following the adventures and exploits of Signor Rozelli as he travels through Italy, France and Holland, an amusing and entertaining novel. In particular this novel is of note for its comments on global Royalty of the time, including the Queen of Sweden and the accession of Queen Anne. This edition is possibly translated by Daniel Defoe. By Abbe J. Olivier. CONDITION In the original panelled calf binding. Externally, generally smart. Faint tide marks to the boards, larger to the front board. Small cracks to the head and tail of the joints. Minor bumping to the extremities, and with a small amount of loss to the head of the spine, and a small chip to the spine label. A few light marks to the boards. Minor rubbing to the joints. Faint surface cracks to the spine. Hinges are starting but firm. Stamp to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with occasional spots, heavier to the endpaper. Overall Condition: Very Good GLOSSARY OF TERMS Overall Condition (Dustwrapper condition rating is shown after that for the book itself, where a dustwrapper is present) Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear Very Good Indeed - Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy Very Good - Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy Good - Meaning not very good.
