Langhorne. William Collins was an English poet in the mid-eighteenth century. His poetry marks the progression from the Augustan poetry of Alexander Pope's generation towards Romanticism and its ideals. From the library of antiquarian, engineer and author William Bragge, featuring his armorial bookplate to front pastedown. CONDITION In full calf binding. Externally with shelf wear, rear joint creaked, board holding firm, front board detached but present. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. This now sits alongside a companion volume, another work of Worcestershire historian and antiquarian, John Noak. I very much looking forward to reading it.
