Contents bright and clean. [4], [iv], 5-719; [4], 644, [28], [2], [8] pp With index, binder directions for plates and subscriber list comprising the final several unapginated sections of text. Illustrated with 70 copperplate engravings, several folding. Mild vertical wrinkling to one of the fold-out and some paper mending on blank reverse to folds of another of the folding maps. Boards bumped at corners with light rupture to leather. Upper board to volume one is tenuously attached with evidence of some PVA mending efforts in the joint. Some mild splitting to leather in the joint at tail of the upper board hinge of Vol II. Appears some PVA mending has been made to tail end compartments of leather from both spine surfaces. Prior ownership inked out to front endpage of Vol II. Light small area of gouging to surface of leather spine of Vol II (see photos). Complete and decent with soundly bound contents.
