In fair condition, with superficial rubbing and wear to exterior. Some losses to leather along perimeter of boards, along with head and heel of spine. Cracking to hinges at front and rear. Text block remains bound well with occasional wear. Periodic markings and marginalia throughout. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce early Boston printing of one of the two novels attributed to Elizabeth Rae Keir (1747-1834), a Scottish poet and novelist.     The shipping was fast and the book was extremely well packaged. The book itself is exactly as pictured and although rare books are expected to be expensive, I was able to get a small discount that at least covered the shipping. I'm happy with my purchase, so I can say that it was a good value. I love to find old relics that kind of come full circle to find their home.     Just picked up my package from Robin Rare Books and let me start by saying WOW!!! Book as advertised for sure. the value of the book certainly dictated some care in shipping but never did I think to this extent. The packaging was incredible. bigger box than needed at first thought but after opening based on the care and multiple layers of packing It would have survived a Tank rolling over it. Very grateful for you listing and working with me on the book, true piece of history I will cherish
