Paul, Printer, 1818, frontis portrait of Coke, 391 pp, full leather, 9 x 5.5”, 8vo. In fair condition. Ex-library of the Library Lutheran Seminary Gettysburg. Bookplate from library on front pastedown with numerous stamps throughout. Moderate wear to extremities with scuffing to edges and corners. Scratching to surface of leather with abrasions to joints and end bands. Severe dampness staining to interior, particularly at end papers. Compliments of E.O. Wagner on second fly leaf. Light toning to interior with scattered foxing. Free of known marginalia. Binding intact. Please see photos. Thomas Coke (1747-1814) was associate of John Wesley, and participated in the founding of the Methodist Episcopal Church in America.
