In good rebacked condition, with the spine rebound in cloth underneath leather. Light rubbing and wear to boards, primarily along edges and corners. Some loss of original leather to head and heel of spine. Hinges remain in good condition. At least one known instances of pages being rebound in the wrong order, with some errors between pages 35 and 45. Small black-and-white sketches at th start of each part of life. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce piece intended for younger readers. The shipping was fast and the book was extremely well packaged. The book itself is exactly as pictured and although rare books are expected to be expensive, I was able to get a small discount that at least covered the shipping. I'm happy with my purchase, so I can say that it was a good value. I love to find old relics that kind of come full circle to find their home. Just picked up my package from Robin Rare Books and let me start by saying WOW!!! Book as advertised for sure. the value of the book certainly dictated some care in shipping but never did I think to this extent. The packaging was incredible. bigger box than needed at first thought but after opening based on the care and multiple layers of packing It would have survived a Tank rolling over it. Very grateful for you listing and working with me on the book, true piece of history I will cherish
