Description
Fine half-leather binding with gilt lettering and decoration on spine. Illustrated with 14 portraits. Presumed first reprint edition (originally published 1661), as I couldn't find reference to earlier printings. Seems to be quite scarce with few listed or sold. Very good. Rubbing of leather along hinges and edges. Binding sturdy. Embossed stamp on title page. There's no tissue paper divider for the plates/frontis (seems to never have been present), which has caused some discoloration to the facing pages. Otherwise text appears clean with little to no foxing. See photos.

Used book was purchased on an offer. It was very good price even considering the shipping cost from the USA. The seller communicated very well. He must have sent the book quickly as it arrived in only 11 days. It was VERY well packaged. The description proved accurate and well worth the shipping cost. Excellent! I would recommend and use again.

Package arrived a little banged up but no damage to item. Shipping was a little pricey considering the condition of the box it arrived in.Beautiful piece as described.
