Second edition. Volume one is illustrated with a portrait frontispiece and a fold-out facsimile letter .Collated complete. A biographical account of Richard Brinsley Sheridan, an Anglo-Irish writer, playwright, and Whig politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1780 until 1812. Written by Thomas Moore, an Irish writer, poet, and lyricist remembered for his Irish Melodies. CONDITION Bound in half calf with patterned boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities. Light loss to the head of the spine of volume two. Joints cracked but generally firm. Rear board detached to volume one. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Overall Condition: Very Good GLOSSARY OF TERMS Overall Condition (Dustwrapper condition rating is shown after that for the book itself, where a dustwrapper is present) Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear Very Good Indeed - Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy Very Good - Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy Good - Meaning not very good.
