You are bidding on a rare antique hardcover book titled The Vicar of Wakefield. By Oliver. Goldsmith. The book is published in London, Great Britain by G. Virtue, 1825. This is a very early copy of this title. Imagine, this book was published almost 200 years ago! Book features full leather binding. Covers are securely attached with no cracking or splitting of hinges. The leather is a scarce green color, although the spine has faded to a tan color. Titling is in gold on black leather label. Pages are tightly bound. The first few pages show some foxing but the remainder of the book has virtually no foxing. Previous owner name written on second blank page; appears to be original owner of book. Binding shows some wear and tear, but remains solid. Book remains in good condition. Great gift idea!
