This is a collection of two volumes of the publication "The Museum of Foreign Literature, Science, and Art" from 1841 and 1842. Each volume contains four issues, as follows: 1841 - September to December; 1842 - January to April. The highlights of these volumes are reviews of the publication of the letters of JOHN and ABIGAIL ADAMS. The 1841 volume contains an 11 page review of the book "Letters of Mrs. Adams, the Wife of John Adams; with an Introductory Memoir by her Grandson, Charles Francis Adams." The 1842 volume contains a 14 page review of the book "Letters of John Adams, addressed to his Wife. Edited by his Grandson, Charles Francis Adams." The reviews contains excerpts of letters from each book. The volumes are bound in three-quarter leather with marbled covers and four raised bands on the spines.
