This is a bound volume of 27 issues of the publication "LIFE" magazine ranging in date from July 9, 1891 to December 31, 1891, plus a special "Christmas Number" at the back (which includes illustrations of Santa Claus). The November 19 issue and the "Christmas Number" each have color front covers. The issues are loaded with amazing illustrated advertisements. The New Year's and Christmas issues each contain a wonderful two-page illustration. The issues include works of fiction, non-fiction and poetry, most of which are illustrated. All issues come with their original front covers. Nicely bound in three-quarter leather with marbled covers, and four raised bands and gilt lettering on the spine. The following 27 issues are included: JULY: 9, 16, 23, 30. AUGUST: 6, 13, 20, 27. SEPTEMBER: 3, 10, 17, 24. OCTOBER: 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. NOVEMBER: 5, 12, 19, 26 DECEMBER: 3, 10, 17, 24, 31.
