Antique, Victor Hugo, Life and Times, 1890s, Estes/Lauriat, Limited 500/1000. Ships via USPS Media Mail. These are in excellent condition with few exceptions. No writing has been found at all in any volumes (although do not claim to have looked at every page) and limited scuffing on the leather, but there are some areas pictured. Look great on a bookshelf and quality remaining with strong bindings to be read. You may see a few spots on the corners where there has been greater wear and those will be pictured. Limited presence of foxing is noted but there is some on beginning and ending blank pages; expected yellowing for its age present. These is leather on the spine area going about 1.5” into the front and back cover as well as on the corners. They have a cloth hardback covered area (the light red) on front and back. The books are not dated/undated, but as another seller indicated, they dissolved in 1898 (started in 1872), so I would expect these to be in the 1890s at the latest, possibly earlier, but do not have any proof of this.
