This is the first edition of Lockhart's English translation of Diaz del Castillo's Historia Verdadera de la Conquista de la Nueva-Espana (Madrid, 1632). It remains among the most important insights into the events of the Spanish conquest of the Americas. Absolutely delighted with this!
