Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant FIrst Edition Leather Bound Two Volumes Volume 1 - copyright 1885 Volume 2 - copyright 1886 These books are in very good condition considering their age. There is some wear to the edges of both books. Volume 2 - the leather at the top of the spine is separated from the binding and is in danger of coming off if not taken care of. Both volumes have fold out inserts attached inside the books. Some of these inserts are torn, and one of them is separated into several pieces. The outside page edges are still beautifully colored as seen in the photos. Please see the included photos for more details on the condition. The books will be individually wrapped in acid-free packaging and packed together in a sturdy box to help prevent/minimize damage during shipping. This book is a leather-bound first edition of Ulysses S. Grant's memoirs of the Civil War. It includes two volumes and was published by Charles L. Webster & Company in 1885 and 1886. The book is an original copy. It is also illustrated and is leather-bound. I make every effort to describe my listings accurately and honestly.
