Measuring about 3" x 4-1/2", and 304 pages long, this miniature hardcover book is "The Rise and Progress of Religion in the Soul, with a devout meditation or prayer added to each chapter" by Philip Doddridge. Bound in full leather, with gilt borders, decoration and spine text, it is dated 1832 and published in Baltimore by Joseph N. Lewis . It is in pretty solid condition for its age, with the binding still nice and tight and not a whole lot of wear to the cover. On the inside, there is some serious tearing to the pictorial title page (shown in pictures 3 and 4), as well as some heavy foxing and dampstaining throughout, and some creased or chipped page edges and corners .
