Carvill , Broadway, New York, NY (1828) DIMENSIONS: 5 ½" Width x 8 ¼" Length x 1 ¼" Height DESCRIPTION: There are some episodes of foxing that occur on the interior pages. The leather spine is fully intact and the gold gilt pressed, embossed lettering on the leather spine is clear, highly visible and undiminished. The volume is nearly 200 years old and for a leather-bound early volume to remain in this kind of well preserved overall antique condition, is fairly unusual. Found in an extensive antiquarian library on the North Shore of Massachusetts, this volume was kept in an academic's extensive library and hadn't been outside of the home where it was found at the estate sale for well over 100 plus years. The interior pages are without any further loss, depreciating corner folds, tears or creasing. This was a fine volume from a purposeful, informed and advanced antiquarian library, collected and assembled by a titan of Ame ri can business and a very well educated Ame ri can professional. The mottled paper front and back cover suffer from only a few scuffs on its front and back surfaces. The leather wrapped spine is supple and the left and right edges of the spine don't suffer from any cracks, fraying or separation. A handsome early Ame ri can historical volume about the voyages of Christopher Columbus and the exploration of the Ame ri cas and the New World. Splendid. CONDITION: Good to Very Good overall vintage condition.

This seller packed/shipped this item like it was a glass vase - seriously!! It arrived in perfect condition and took some work to get through all of the packing :) As for the game, all of the items were packaged nicely in the game box, and looked better than the online pictures would have indicated. There were a few other reference sheets and such that weren't in the pictures but were present in the package, so it was a pleasant surprise. I HIGHLY recommend this seller!
