Stephanopoulos was born the second son of a solid Greek family in Fall River, Massachusetts. He attended COLUMBIA University and worked as a summer intern for congresswoman, Mary Rose Oakar. He later served in the Peace Corps, teaching English in Tunisia. He then attended OXFORD and later worked in the DUKAKIS Presidential race.
