Single-volume edition of this work by Washington Irving. Bound in one-quarter polished calf with marbled boards, edges, and endpapers. Colored leather spine labels with gilt lettering. All plates appear intact. Defects-wise, there is moderate rubbing and moderate wear to edges. Unobtrusive 19th-century library markings of the Carnegie Library of Yankton, SD, confined to a few ink stamps throughout. Someone has pressed flowers and a newspaper clipping between two pages. Else clean and tight—a handsome copy.
