Large (8.5 X 11 in.), 126 page hardcover in gilt decorated, red leather boards and spine. Top edge is gilt. Contains a total of 58, mostly full page color and black and white illustrations of L'Empereur, the color plates being tissue guarded. Good condition. Unmarked, complete and securely bound. All of the illustrations are present, many have light foxing/oxidation stains, and the preliminary pages have light foxing, as well. Spine is a little sun-tanned. The frontispiece tissue guard is creased. Small stain along the bottom edge of the front board. Stress bends on most pages along the binding.
