Please see photos and read the condition description. We are most happy to post and send additional photos and to answer any questions. This a copy of Memoirs of George the Third -- The Public and Private Life of His late Excellent and most Gracious Majesty, George the Third (George III), embracing its most memorable Incidents, as they were displayed in the important Relation of Son, Husband, Father, friend, and Sovereign, by Robert Huish Esq., Printed for Thomas Kelly, London, 1821. This is quarter leather bound with stamped spine with design and five raised bands. Top of block edge has gilt. Covers, endboards, and end papers are all marbled. Based on the boards, this appears to be a mid-19th century rebinding of the book. A very nice copy. Leather at spine edges should be lightly conditioned. There was a bookplate inside the front cover dating from the early-mid 20th century. It was an "Ex Libris Michael S. Holowaty" and it had separated and was loose. It left a glue residue. I have the bookplate and am including a photo of it. It is not included, but I include this to help show provenance. This copy was purchased in the mid-1970s from O'Gara's book shop on 57th Street in Hyde Park, Chicago. Please see the photos and read the condition description. We are happy to provide more. We carefully pack and ship our books in boxes to protect them. This book will require signature and insurance.
