Direct from a New England attic this morning comes this wonderful book: THE LIFE OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN by Jared Sparks. The book is bound in leather with gilt lettering. There is staining and wear on the cover, consistent with age, but the binding is tight and in remarkably good condition. The interior is in good condition, but there is some staining to the very bottom of the page to pages 492 to the end. The book measures 6 x 9.5. It was printed in Boston by Tappan and Dennett in 1844 and has 611 pages. Despite the relatively minor defects (considering the age of the book), I think it is very good condition. On December 2nd I purchased “Antique Postcard: Phillips Brooks Library, Readville, MA”. The seller dropped the postcard at the Post Office to be mailed the same business day. Because the buyer’s address was in the same state I was able to receive the item on December 3, the next day. The item came in a secure envelope.The postcard was everything I had expected and would gladly buy from this seller in the future..
