Direct from a New England attic this morning comes this wonderful book: THE LIFE OF GEORGE WASHINGTON by Jared Sparks. The book is bound in leather with gilt lettering. There is staining and wear on the cover, consistent with age. The book measures 6 x 9.5. It was printed in Boston by Tappan, Whittemore, and Mason in 1849 and has 562 pages. On December 2nd I purchased “Antique Postcard: Phillips Brooks Library, Readville, MA”. The seller dropped the postcard at the Post Office to be mailed the same business day. Because the buyer’s address was in the same state I was able to receive the item on December 3, the next day.
