Description

Stonewall Jackson : The Man, The Soldier, The Legend by James I Robertson Jr. (Easton Press SIGNED 2-Volume Set , Genuine Leather, Like New) "The passage of 130 years has only deepened the fascination and reverence for Confederate General Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson. He ranks today as among the half-dozen greatest soldiers that America has ever produced. Military academies in both hemispheres still teach his tactics. Revered by his men, respected and feared by his foes, Jackson became seemingly invincible. When he learned of Jackson's fatal wound, Robert E. Lee sent his "affectionate regards", saying, "Jackson has lost his left arm, but I my right arm". Jackson's early death in 1863 was the greatest personal loss suffered by the Confederacy and one that permanently crippled the wartime South. This eagerly awaited biography is based on years of research into little-known manuscripts, unpublished letters, newspapers, and other primary sources. It offers for the first time a complete portrait - not only of Jackson the brilliant military strategist and beloved general but also of Jackson, the man of orphaned background, unyielding determination to conquer adversity, and deep religious convictions...." What an amazing transaction! My brand new, leather bound Easton Press book still in shrink wrap arrived in outstanding condition!! It was wrapped in bubble wrap and surrounded by tissue paper. The shipping speed was super fast as the seller sent it by Priority Mail. Fantastic! Item was totally as described as on website. I communicated with seller and requested extra packaging inside box due to very cold weather conditions in MI. I’m extremely pleased with my purchase and this seller!!! Thanks!!

The seller WGMartin Book Gallery offered me a wonderful copy of the Easton Press Idylls of the King by Alfred Lord Tennyson, a book I had been hoping to add to my library for quite more than a fortnight, for a fair amount that caught my attention, and they then proceeded to follow through with ensuring the transaction went smoothly by packaging the book properly for transit across the country, shipped it out expediently and provided it to me in the condition it was listed in and as described! A+

I am so excited to receive these beautiful books. They were packaged well, and I received them quickly. The books were just as described, new and sealed. They will make a beautiful addition to a church library. Very pleased.
