Description
Publisher/Date: Johnson, Fry & Company; 1871. This book is the leather bound edition. The text is unmarked. The binding is weakened as the hinges are cracking in various places. The cover is moderately worn along the edges with some rubbingand scuffing. The page edges are toned with scattered foxing. There is a musty odor present. The previous owner's name is present. There are varying degrees of dampstaining primarily along the page edges. Several sections of pages are detached from the textblock. The page edges are gold gilt. The spine is in the Florentine Fillet style with five raised bands. The cover and spine panel feature gold gilt lettering and decorations. The front and rear hinges have been repaired by what appears to be a professional book binder. Also has most likely been rebound at one point possibly by the same binder. We hope to have the honor of serving you. Sincerely, Shawn and Rebecca

Book was in condition described and appeared as depicted in listing photos. For a $20 out of print book, I appreciate that it was well packed in 2 waterproof layers (wrapped in bubble wrap and sent in a bubbler mailer). Item was mailed immediately. Fair price. Recommended seller.
