Untitled Document The Life and Times of Honorable Humphrey Marshall by A.C.Quisenberry,1892,1st ed.Signed Original first edition by Anderson Chenault Quisenberry, published by The Sun Publishing Company, Winchester 1892. 142 pages in length, including rear index. Leather covers, but front and rear boards show wear, and are cracked at the hinges, the front is hanging on, the rear board is barely still attached. Signed on the second free page from the author to Colby Broomhall Quisenberry, Washington DC, 1893. Frontispiece illustration of Marshall is protected from the title page with a tissue page. The first couple of pages have a few brown spots, which were caused from dried buttercup flowers, which are on a card which reads: "...plucked by from the lawn of Kenmore where Mary Washington died, Fredericksburg, Va. May, 10, 1894" which is included. Marshall was an important figure in early American history. Served in the Revolutionary War and held political office representing Virginia and Kentucky. Served in the US Senate representing Kentucky. Also, he survived a duel with Henry Clay. From the prominent Marshall who were noted Federalists. Worth a read is the Wikipedia article. SHIPPING All items are shipped within one business day, barring emergency or events beyond my control. Buyers will be notified if shipments are late. Shipping occurs six days a week, exception of holidays and on occasion a Friday purchase may not ship until Monday morning. All items are shipped with either USPS or Fed Ex tracking. Fed Ex will not ship to PO boxes, a physical address is required. I only ship to the lower 48 states using Fed Ex Ground/Home delivery service.
