Published by Macmillan and Co. Ltd., London, 1903. It is the First Edition of this noteworthy biography. Bound in half-leather. Books are very clean, tight and show only light, expected wear. Wear primarily noted on corners. There is spotting to page edges as illustrated in my photos--no internal foxing/spotting. There is a personal library bookplate of the former owner, as well an a name and date written on flyleaves. Very Good condition. Books measure 6 X 8 7/8. A few copies of this important work appear on other internet booksites for upwards of $643 for books bound in leather.
