As a tenor and singer, he has performed classical and pop music, popularizing classical music in the international pop charts. Born visually impaired, he became completely blind at the age of 12. Nevertheless, he has recorded 14 solo albums, two of which have gone platinum and seven gold. Originally published in 2011, The Music of Silence, through an alter ego named “Amos Bardi,” Andrea Bocelli tells his own story in the form of an autobiographical novel. These highly collected Easton Press heirloom-quality editions are bound in luxurious leather bindings, hand cut from specially tanned hides of fine quality. 22kt gold accents are carefully stamped on the traditional hubbed spine, superb printing on acid-neutral pages that are sewn with gilded page ends for beauty, as well as to seal out moisture and dust. Each book is beautiful in its entirety and a perfect gift or addition to any collection. Each is one of a limited number, so value is bound to increase over time! Outlined below is any wear that rises above the traditional wear that would be associated with a used book. Please continue, however, to reference and scrutinize the pictures provided above. This book has significant wear throughout. Please see the descriptions on the parts of the book and the pictures. The cover is a currant red with intricate gold inlays. Cover : There is some damage in the form of scuffing to the leather and some warping in the form of bulging. This is most prevalent on the front cover. On the side or the spine of the book it is minimally visible on the bottom and the back of the book it is the least visible and the back of the book it is not immediately visible if at all. Page Edging : The edges of the book have significant damage which is most visible on the bottom, slightly less on the side, and less so on the top. The damage on the top edge is some discoloration likely representing water damage. Head/Tailcaps : The headcap appears attached to the inside spine when book is closed and the tailcap is loose from the inside of the spine. The hinge operates appropriately on the top of the book and is also loose on the bottom. End Sheets/Inside Covers : The front endsheet and back endsheet do not appear to have any staining but there is some minor wrinkling which is more prevalent on the front and difficult to see with the naked eye in the back. Textblock : Most of the pages (if not all to varying degrees) have wrinkles. From before the middle of the book until close to the end, there is staining on the bottom pages of the text block. The staining is guessed to be water damage. Other : The signature is in excellent shape but the page it is on is slightly wrinkled. There is a certificate of authenticity signed and verified by the author and the published. It also has wrinkles. The inserted card is also present and in excellent shape.
