Grant's memoirs were available to order in several different binding styles, here listed from cheapest to most expensive: cloth, sheep leather, three-quarter morocco, full morocco, tree calf. The three-quarter leather option was quite expensive at the time ($11.00, which is the equivalent of $356 today). Condition and Description: Three-quarter morocco leather over cloth, elaborately lettered and decorated in gilt, marbled endpapers and flyleaves, frontispieces with tissue guards, two tipped-in letters and a folding map, steel engravings, two volumes.: Hinges and binding tight. Text free of writing and underlining. Boards show some wear. Folding letters and map present.
