Description
This is an Easton Press edition of "Walden or Life in the Woods" by Henry David Thoreau. It was published in 1981. The cover is brown leather with lovely gold embossed details and has a nice smell. It is a hardback book measuring 5.5x8.25". 335 pages. The matching bookmark is attached and tucked inside. The edge of the pages are gold. The bookplate is inside loose, not attached. My guess is that it is no longer sticky considering the age. There is very minor edge and corner wear from being on the shelf. There are wonderful wood engravings by Thomas W Nason. No writing inside, no ripped or missing pages, no dog-eared corners. I was the first person to open this book, as the binding is very tight. Just a gorgeous edition of this classic.
