Published : London, George Routledge & sons/ no date, circa- 1860-1880 size= apx 7.25" x 5" with 459 pages Binding: full soft calf leather with gilt decorations, 5 raised bands, marbled end-papers and page edges -GORGEOUS with 6 color illustrations Contents : Henry V, John Plantagenet, Gonzalves de Cordoba, the Duke of Alva, Oliver Cromwell, George Monk, Marshal Turenne, The Great Conde, John Churchill, Prince Eugene of Savoy, the Earl of Peterborough, John Manners, and General Wolfe. / also has a Joan of Arc picture so I would assume she is in here as well? a cloth edition in worse shape SOLD FOR $1,025 CLICK HERE to see it Goes through UK ebay bc USA ebay only holds sold links for 3 months Condition: Please zoom in on photos carefully as they are part of the description according to ebay -all of my books are VERY OLD and have wear - I try to cover the book's worse faults, but I am human, and sometimes miss a thing or 2; / very good + to excellent condition...... for its age - Text and boards very secure, although...the front cover looks like it was once detached and expertly repaired/ attached - last picture. C overs with some light wear [ looks better in person]. back outer joint in pretty good shape - front one has the repair [ zoom in last picture]. Inner hinges very good although you can see just a thin bit of the repair on the front inner hinge. Tips look very good with just a bit of wear & spine ends look very good. No rips or folds that I saw. Pages are all generally very clean , apx. 12 pages with small spots. Gilt and marbled page edges still bright. Inscription on the ffep. In the 2nd compartment down [on the spine] I think there should have been a title tag - instead there is a fancy piece glued on - in the last picture you can see it.
